Snow

Snow as seen by a small kid through his window. The kid is intrigued by seeing the snow and the snow is kind enough to reply.

Oh ! Snow so white & pure,
On winter mornings at my door.

Did you fall when stars sparkle & the moon shines,
And when the wolves haul near the vine.

Are you the ashes of a star that twinkled so bright ?
Or the gift to Earth, by the angel of light ?

Or as they say, just a phenomenon that occurs every winter?
But to me you bring cheers & hope, Oh ! Harbinger.

I see through my window & its you all around,
On roof, on hood, on road & all across the town.

You are clear, pure & pious, as your colour be,
In home, in school, may where I be, I see your glee.

You bring the message, Santa is no far,
You bring the message, it’s time to enjoy “age no bar”.

You know no difference & see all alike,
I wish I could learn this manner, so might.

Whispered the snow, which was falling near,
It’s true, “to me everyone is dear”.

I am falling from the times of yore,
On winter morning, at your door.

I fall when you multiply your sorrow,
I fall when winter clouds can no more borrow.

If you see deep-down, your deepest part,
My colour is same as the colour of your heart.

I fall to make the world a happy place,
I fall to see the smile on a happy face.

May what come, I will fall till the end of time,
But promise me you will follow the message I leave behind.

I promise what you seek, but please never break your chore,
Oh ! Snow so white & pure, keep falling on winter mornings at my door.
